April showers bring May flowers! We have several announcements and requests below; please read carefully
Our garden steering committee has reviewed the volunteer position choices we have received thus far. If you have not responded to the original letter, please review the garden guidelines and select a volunteer position. Otherwise, we’ll choose one for you from the spots most in need of volunteers.
We need you! Our first meeting of the year for all of the Bandi Shaum gardeners is Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 pm at CCI Center, 64 South 14th Street. Come and meet your fellow gardeners and learn about what’s new and what’s coming to Bandi Shaum this year, plus information about workshops, Planting Day, and more. Feel free to bring a treat to share!
Water! The water line installation is underway this week. Additionally, the water buffaloes have been installed and we have new rain barrels. A rain barrel design contest form was attached to the email you received this week. Encourage your children to participate!
Fruit Tree Preparation Day is May 11, 2013 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Bring your shovels! We’ll be getting the garden ready for the fruit trees and bushes. We need at least 20 Bandi Shaum gardeners to help!
