Garden in the Parks Field Day:
North and South Park Demonstration Gardens
The free annual event is a celebration of horticulture, education and fun. Special stations located throughout the gardens provide information on pollinators, herbs, composting and rain barrels. Visit with local beekeepers and take guided tours of the annual flower trials and pollinator gardens while the kids enjoy hands-on gardening activities. Sample a variety of tomatoes and garlic and vote for your favorites. Penn State master gardeners will be selling their own fresh produce and an assortment of perennials, fresh cut flowers and gardening items at the garden market.
